Principal's Message

On Opening of SY 2022-23

Dear Edwardians,

Welcome Back to School!

On behalf of our school leaders, teachers and staff, we send you our best hopes for the coming year and for everyone a safe return to school.  This will happen with our blended learning from August to October and to our eventual full face-to-face, in-class instruction starting November until end of the school year.

Various studies have reported that school-aged children have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. In-class instruction provides students with face-to-face teacher-led learning, peer engagement, supports social and emotional development and decreases feelings of isolation.  On the other hand, our blended learning called the Edwardian EDGE Plus features the conduct of rich learning experiences, learning assessments, tactile and kinesthetic activities, and socio-emotional learning.  With the support and cooperation of everyone, including parents, we hope to achieve these.

We are excited to open the school doors once again and start the important work to see everyone succeed and harness their full potential to the future.

As a nurturing learning institution, we will continue to improve the learning success for all students, and expand on holistic development of learners.  As we know that St. Edward School is one of the pioneer schools which implemented the Bawat Paaralan Edukampyon, advocating the Philippine Whole School Continuum.

Last school year, the school has crafted the Institutional Development and Improvement Plan for SY 2022-2025 to embark on a journey with its many stakeholders, students, teachers, parents, staff, and community partners, to identify strategic plans that will build on the successes of the school for the next three (3) years.

This year, it is doubly significant as we celebrate the 10th year founding anniversary of the school with the theme, Big@10!  This will culminate with a grand birthday bash on April 2023.

The health and safety of our students and staff is always a priority, and we will continue to work closely with our community partners including the Department of Education which granted us with a Quality Seal for our full compliance with all the indicators of School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT).

We encourage students, teachers and staff to continue to practice good COVID-sense such as washing hands frequently, respecting the personal space of others and wearing of mask.  The best way to keep COVID-19 out of our schools is for everyone to stay home when sick. Please continue to complete a daily health check and stay home if you feel unwell.

We welcome back all those who are returning – and a special welcome to those who are joining us as new students, parents and teachers.

We look forward to another exciting year of meaningful and safe learning.

Live the Edwardian Excellence!
